Hello and welcome to our immunohistochemistry(IHC) and immunofluorescence(IF) staining GUIDES.
IHC and IF staining can be so difficult to get right. Antibody staining, the subfield of histology is wrought with internal issues generally caused by the clinical body that drives innovation. Even when innovation is discovered and used, these tactics are not usually publicized and or given away for all to use. Much of this knowledge surrounding the antibody field is coveted by the industries that sell the products.
Fortunately, I am not governed by anyone and can give away all secrets gained through the adventure of this company. I will post all our antibody protocols (primary & Secondary) with notes on methodologies, tips and tricks, species used, success and failures with pictures. I hope to help anyone looking for advice in doing IHC & IF histology.
There are too many protocols for just this page, so I have put links to the pages and downloadable protocols.

Hi Hans. The tonsil controls we you made for us here at Borsting’s Labs were excellent! The sections were perfect and the chromogen “lit up” beautifully with immunoperoxidase staining.
Hi Jeff,
I’m glad everything went so well. I stained one slide with H&E just to see if everything was in the right place. Let us know if you need anything else!
